Registration
The Buena Regional School District utilizes an online registration process. Please be aware you will need to either scan and upload documents or you can make an appointment with the registrar to submit paper copies. Please review all information listed prior to beginning registration.

Required Documentation
The required information will enable our registrar to determine if your child is eligible to attend school in our district in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:38-1 and N.J.A.C. 6A:22. The totality of documentation presented will be considered in evaluating each individual student’s application for enrollment and, unless expressly permitted by law, the student will not be denied enrollment based upon the inability to provide certain form(s) of documentation where other acceptable evidence is presented.
Required Records
Required documentation to be submitted via upload online or in-person:
- Proof of Residency (see list; 1 primary and 2 secondary required)
- Parent/guardian photo identification
- Copies of current immunization records from previous school or pediatrician
- Current report card/transcript, attendance, discipline, IEP/504 (if applicable)
- Copy of student’s birth certificate (must be provided within 30 days of enrollment)
- Court documents for custody (if applicable)
- Transfer card from previous school district (if applicable)
Required Forms

- Residency Enrollment Questionnaire
- Student demographic form
- Home Language Survey
Proof of Residency
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Current Mortgage Statement
- Deed or Title
- Tax Assessment
- Tax Bill
- Copy of Lease
Secondary Proof of Residency
(2 or more required, in addition to primary)
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Utility bill
- Drivers license
- Bank Statement
- Pay Stub (must have full address identified)
- Court orders, state agency, agreements, or other evidence of court or agency placement or directives (must have full address identified)
- Affidavits (see below for BRSD affidavit)
- Medical reports, counselor/social worker assessments
- Documents pertaining to military status and assignment
- Any other form of documentation relevant to demonstrating entitlement to attend school with full address identified
